  37. I have to agree here.

  39. We want the Amiga to blossom back into what it was intended to always be,
  40. but we put a slow cpu in it so that 'common' games like DOOM on other
  41. platforms play all jerky and slow on the Amiga.  An 040 allows these games
  42. to be played properly.  And since 3D programs and games are going to
  43. continue to be a larger part of the future, this speed (even if it costs
  44. a more) is critical.  Please stick with the 68040 and newer CPU's!

  46. Also, if they do include any CPU w/o an MMU or FPU, I hope they make it
  47. easy to upgrade the whole CPU, and/or include sockets on the mother board
  48. for external MMU and FPU chips.

  50. I love what I am hearing about the 'Walker', except the slower CPU, same
  51. audio and same video.  Granted, I didn't expect miracles, but the CPU is
  52. the least difficult of the 3 to impliment, and would make a lot of difference.
